Default Wheels Painted in Black Platinum with Wheel Rim Painted in Guards Red

Not too sure what to really think about this option... have not seen any comments in other posts singing praises. Anyone really like the option? AP sure likes it...

I think it's one of those, "you either love it or hate it" option. I understand what AP says, regarding that the pin stripe accentuates the tire size from the rim. I guess the only problem I have is why they don't offer different colours? Anyways, as far as I'm concerned, I'm not a fan of it.

The look is hot IMO, that is if you're into GR. The launch car is gorgeous with red accents inside and out. Very well put together, and that's a large part of the allure. Total package.

Doubt it will be available in other colors but you never know. Still not available on US configurator or any other AFAIK.

i think it definitely depends on what color car you get.

the GR from the launch with the black wheels and red rim stripe is nice.

if you spec miami blue with black wheels and red rim stripe....i'm not too sure that that would look good

Need to stop obsessing about this car. There are some fantastic shots of the car here in all its Guards Red glory, pin stripes and all.

AP in an interview said you can do the pin stripe same color as body through Porsche exclusive. So if someone is ordering for example blue then ask your dealer to look into it if you want the pin stripe in blue and not red. AP did say it is an option only on the matte black wheel. What i don't understand on the Canadian configurator the matte black with pin stripe is less costly of an option that the other wheel coloring options. Not sure why...

Does not look bad to me. Like an option that is exclusive to the GT3... so far.
Would have as much trouble with deciding on this today as I am about what outside color I want. Looks pretty good with the chalk color on the picture, think that is chalk. Of course with the red brakes.

I think it will look good with the car in white.

The painted rim option, XGT, is now on the US configurator.

black wheels with red stripe is not cheaper than black wheels alone in the US.

satin black wheels: $1220
satin black + red stripe: $1920

Weird! I just checked again and it's still cheaper on the Canadian one. Makes no sense at all, but still cheaper.

I wonder if that's an error that will be corrected? I'm hoping not as the lower price is a bonus for those of us that want those!

I think it looks like a mod from Pep Boys, akin to the trend of white lettering on sidewalls. FFS, it's a GT3 not a 1995 Scoupe.
