I too was totally into GBM until I saw it in person,- meh, kinda underwhelming. However, any color on a GT3 looks amazing so that kinda muddies the decision process. my wife wants me to get GR with black wheels and GR striping. Since she is actually allowing me to get this and an RS within a year, perhaps I'll just let her order it how she wants! I can't wait to shift again.

If you are going red, you and your wife need to check out carmine red.

Listen to your Wife. She has good taste.
If you like her Spec go with it because it will make her happy

very wise. She had zero input on my RS build. After the recent Smokies event she is totally into these cars now, I'm thrilled! She loved RS Green and Mexico Blue, but I had to explain the whole PTS thing and she got annoyed. So unless PTS falls into my lap I'll let her choose.
What's right? Your brain tells you, happy wife happy life. Heart and emotion may be elsewhere. Hmm. I subscribe to happy life and took wifey to the dealer with me. In the end, I can care less about the color. Love to have the GT3 and the happy wife. If you go against, prediction is one day your car will end up with unexplained scratches.
I was debating between CR and GR. After seeing them in the flesh I decided on the GR.It's a classic Porsche color from the 80's and no other manufacturer has a similar color. CR is a richer color hence more expensive $4200 and often seen on sedans and SUV's. Many manufacturers have a similar color.
That's my two cents and feel free to share it will your wife. FWIW, my wife liked the GR.
CR is visibly deeper. The clear coat might be thicker or 2-layer or something. Think of the difference between a great limousine black that is deep like a pond and a black that you can polish and that shines but that never has an illusion of depth.
CR is my choice between the two. Will be too many in GR in my opinion. I guess either way you won't go wrong and you'll have a happy wife. Congrats to you and your wife on whatever colour it ends up being.

No worry- How many cars will come to NA?? Only ~9% will go GR, if lucky
Now need to worry.
How many people order a Red Ferrari?? - lucky to see one here in the North shore once per month.
Thanks for the input everyone...I'll let you know what the boss decides! Now the next step...it's a September build, so perhaps early October ED? Trying to pin down earliest date.

Incorrect on both accounts. Carmine, like other special colors, is expensive ONLY because PAG said it should be so. It has NOTHING to do with the clear coat, the quality of paint, the layers of paint, etc.
Also, some car shapes and styles lend themselves to certain colors over others.

CR paint is thicker( or coated and extra round). This has been tested with one of those paint meters. I could not believe it myself
