I'm doing GBM because that's what I personally like... I like many colors even bright ones like red yet I'm also a fan of pastel-like grays and blues like my Ceramic Blue Ram and Avalanche Gray GT350. But the GT3 does look good in literally every other color so IMO one can't really go wrong... you do and should buy it for your own self after all, not the next owner... that's my take.

I will bet there are others who will go Rhodium in part out of a hope that it will be far less common. But regardless of how many choose it, it's a great silver. And the folks who have commented that it is akin to polar are correct (just not as blue to my eye).

Do not need seat warmers because for some reason they do not need it and still cannot figure that out.

But - not for everyone. PIA to get in and out and I have mastered it but after the gym takes a little more effort. Not getting younger .

I also found the 4-ways to be great. So- if you just want cool looking seats that give a little more of a go-cart feeling and willing to sacrifice a little comfort I think for the upgrade a great value. You can always trade your LWBs to some one plus they will pay you extra cash, in addittion, so will not hurt starting with them. Wifey will prefer the sofas and as I stated- great seats for no upgrade
The getting in and out doesn't bother me at all, as I already use that technique to get out of my 4 ways. And I would rarely, if ever, have someone in the car with me, so no concern for that either. It's just that the way the upper seat back angles doesn't let me sit fully into the seat. The wings push on my shoulder blades. I stayed in them a while and couldn't get comfortable. I don't mind the riding position, as it's near dead on the way I have my seats, it's just the shape of the back. I wonder if my shoulder blades are just more boney than most.

Love it. Will be different but I caution silver wheels with the steel brakes

Rhodium is beautiful. I've seen it and like it to my Polar C4S I had. Very similar colours.

JimmyD, your caution is related to the finish on those wheels and the brake dust from the steel brakes?

Thanks for that advice. Went back to research and think you're probably right so will strike that and go with the standard finish...

Went to NYC auto show today to see It and GR. I'm sold on the design changes and additions along with GR and also black wheels. Though not sure I will get black wheels with GR. Howver GR is likely my colour if not PTS. Also sat in the buckets in the .2 GT3, I like em. Third time in buckets and only driven buckets in a 997 Turbo. They feel super comfortable and to me it's part of the experience. GT3 wouldn't be my daily.

Edit - seat stripe looks cheap and tacky in person. Here's hoping delete is cheap though from what I was told it won't be if same cost as .1 GT3 exclusive seat changes.

Visiting PEC Atlanta today and had a consult with a Porsche Exclusive rep about PTS and custom tailoring options in their Exclusive options lounge. Nice.

Interesting discussion about colors ensued in which the rep echoed some of my previous own thoughts about colors.... namely, don't choose a PTS color that could be mistaken for or that is otherwise the same as or too similar to a standard color on GT3 or other 911. It's a waste and will probably not help on resale value. (yes, the rep actually brought up resale value on their own accord without me prompting that topic.)

having said that, the rep also said Gulf, Riviera, and Mexico blue are so popular they feel like it's getting a bit overdone.

Will do do a separate thread soon on some of the other details gleaned from the meeting today, of which there are several somewhat juicy and interesting ones.

I wonder what they define as "overdone" - for example my 2010 GT3 is Mexico Blue - and AFIAk there are only around 5-7 other 997 GT3/RS'es in the country in that color and a similar # of Riviera Blues' also...

perhaps they should just move those colors from the PTS palette to the "std" set and save us all a lot of hassle!

BTW I did hear from a dealer rep that PTS was "available" on the gen 2 cars despite it not being an option on the configurator like some other variants

Hi there ,

This is an email from my porsche dealer. I live in Australia. Its exactly double the price of a special colour. Hope that helps

I have a MYJ (2018) options price list and it indicates colour to sample is $15,980 on a new GT3. It is $11,990 on all other 911 models.

I am not sure of ordering restrictions in relation to when the option will be available.
