Will they continue to contribute on a limited basis? That's a real loss, if true...but at least Meaden is still there holding down the fort. I "grew up" reading EVO, and while I thought all was loss when Harry moved on, they kept the quality up...I'm sure they'll Keep the last bastion of automotive journalism going through any changing of the guard.

1. Decrease the redline to 8k and change the cams to make hp peak at 7,500 rpm (and remove Ti conrods, since not needed)? Maybe decrease compression ratio also to keep torque down?
2. Use identical motor as GT3 with only software changes that limit power and torque by not allowing full throttle opening at certain revs and gas pedal settings?
#1 saves money on parts but costs money to develop (and requires more part numbers in inventory).
#2 saves no money on parts, but cheap to develop (and requires no additional part numbers in inventory). Risk of someone breaking the ECU and restoring full power...
Porsche might be smart to give the full 500hp version of the identical GT3 motor (no additional parts cost nor development nor new inventory of parts). Then just limit the number of units sold (as required for homologation of the GT4 race car) and jack up the price wherever they like...

But they can neuter the 4.0 like they did the 3.8 on the current GT4 and let people Mod it after market

The current GT4 was only "neutered" by 15hp from the Carrera S motor it's based upon. To lop off 50hp takes a more serious approach...

will Evo even be able to obtain a 6MT GT3 in time for eCoty??? none of the 1st drives have, and if they have to wait until Sept it will be "too late"
