Isn't a GT2RS much more expensive? Assuming a theoretical 2019 991.2 GT3RS would base at 190-200, how much is a GT2RS?

If not, what are your specs and delivery location? I am sure someone (perhaps me) will give you your deposit back.

If we learned one thing of the latest 991.2 GT3 announcement it would be that Porsche (AP) respond to market demands very carefully, especially after VW dieselgate. It is not easy to ditch the manual transmission and bring it back in 3 years.
While the majority, if not all, supercar manufacturers are moving away from NA + Manual, Porsche is still offering these options and spent big money on R&D for the new 4.0 engine. This is Porsche's territory. And I don't see them departing for it any time soon.
However, there is a huge gap between the RSR and the competition in GT racing that Porsche cannot deny. They cannot compete any longer without turbocharging the RSR. This opens the doors for GT2 and maybe GT2RS to reclaim the halo car position in Porsche lineup, while continue offering NA GT cars in manual or PDK.
I just hope they provide proper allocation for the GT2 and really make it available to customers without the fuss of small allocations and those flippers. If Ferrari and Lamborghini can do it, sure Porsche can.

There is a lot of talk about people who say they want a car - seeing new RS models asking premiums sitting in showrooms is bad business all around.
GT2RS don't see the demand - first you get the non flipper 918 owners can't be that many who want a GT2RS unless they are limited same goes for many others if it's not exclusive why buy it there is a ton of competition 675LT 488 720 Performante...

GT2RS will be a numberd car and they will get 300k no problem selling. The last gen sold for 200k plus six years ago .....

Yes it is more expensive. As I said in my previous post the gap between the gt3 vs the gt2rs might be too big, price wise and performance wise, if Porsche scraps the gt3rs.

Have you driven 991rs? Imagine that on steroids.

I bought RS PTS paid over with 700 miles - week later local dealer called me and wanted to start a bidding war on a not so great spec that left a poor taste in my mouth.
The RS is too good to be used as (adm) marketing - let their customers do the marketing by driving them.
Asking anything over MSRP brand new is a knee jerk dumb way to make a few extra bucks. Those dealers lose more customers or sales than the one time out of towner 20 - 50k will ever bring them. Used I understand they can make up a story it's on consignment blah blah
The GT2RS - almost 100% it will not be numbered.
