This will be a sensational car. The 6 speed is an absolute joy. Am really excited for all that Porsche have listened and delivered.
Macca, gearing is short and certainly adds to the fun. I am still playing in the 0-5000rpm range with an R only recently delivered. The music and power that lurks beyond 5k still awaits

So you're saying I needed a 4 year conversation?

I would definitely start talking to some dealers ASAP. Most have lists deeper than all 991.2 allocations they be getting for 2018 and 2019 already.

Is this a case of irrational exuberance?
What I am reading is a 25hp increase, MT option, a sport steering wheel and cosmetic exterior changes for an additional $13,000. What am I missing?

I'm sure it will only be two years. 2018 and 2019. No three years this dance.
2020 is slated for the new 992 Generation.

Not quite the 60+ lbs quoted on pdks vs manual. For me personally, with a 991rs, I'd be tempted to try a manual if one comes my way at MSRP. Why not. If didn't have RS already, I'd go PDKS.
