Not to mention that the time for the 991.1 GT3 was 7:25. Are they saying the new model is 4 seconds slower with the big motor, stickier tires, and 20% more downforce?

Or maybe 7:29 is the time for the Manual gearbox? Still seems massively conservative...

2011 GT3 RS 4.0 was 7:27 with same motor specs, manual, slower chassis and tires...

OR, maybe just a typo and they meant 7:19???

We all know the time of the new 911 GTS (Pirelli tires) on the Nordschleife which was 7.22 or 7 seconds faster then this time of the GT3 with 50 horsepower more etc ...

Any explanation ?

That is pretty disappointing.

Seems to be no typing error, another ad from a local german Porsche center attached.
Unbelievable, are the Pirellis tires on the GTS so much faster then the Michelin CUP2 ?

maybe this was a manual car with eco-tires and piloted by a blind, quadriplegic circus midget?

That doesn't help explain why the time is slower when all of the relevant variables have either been improved or unchanged...

Now we complaining about lap times. All specualtion.

Wait until you get it out to your favorite track and see then if it manages your expectation.

OH BOY - If they would of given it a better lap time than the out going RS -just think what it would do to all the RSs sitting at lots. Wake-up all - they need these cars to move and to the right Owners. They have to keep the market moving- it does not bode well to have all these cars stranded. You do not think they watch all of this.

But those 12 minutes will be the most engaging 12 minutes you will ever have in any car.
