Engine Swap Questions for a newbie

So I'm a bit confused. I have 2 different GT3's I'm looking at. A 2014 and 2015. Both have had engine swaps.
With the 2014, assuming it swapped from an "E" to the "F" (how can I tell)? And since it has been swapped, should I figure it is good-to-go and that it is just as good as a 2015 (I was limiting my search to 2015/2016 because of potential engine issues, but if the swap brings the 2014 to equal ground as the 2015, then great). Also, does the engine swap affect value?....assuming that probably not and if anything makes more desirable?
The 2015 says that the engine was swapped in Germany before coming over, so figuring no issues there.
Any thoughts or info appreciated as I could use some education on the whole engine swap issue. Thanks.

I'm surprised the 2015 was a swap before coming over. I didn't think that happened, only swaps with cars that had been sold and had an issue in the 2015MY.
It's all preference really IMO. I would think there will be a little bit of a value hit on the 2014 but it might make it a better buy. The main thing would be to make sure it isn't one of the buybacks with a bad title.

I just traded a buy-back on an RS on Saturday. My car was a 2014 that was delivered in Jan '14. Post delivery it needed a replacement engine so the dealer took it back. The owner (original buyer) refused to participate in the process so Porsche bought it back from him. They subsequently sold it again once the new engine was in the car. The issue is that cars that went thru that exact process ended up with a branded buy back title (mine had that). The branded title makes the car worth a bit less. On the plus side Porsche extended the warranty a year.

Stop sale cars have clean titles, while buybacks have rebranded on their title.
A 2014 will carry 5 yrs standard warranty and if it's CPO, an extra 2 yrs. Quite nice actually.
