First Post: Looking for advice on allocating a 991.2 GT3 at sticker.

My big problem with Trudeau is his utter lack of fiscal responsibility.
He campaigned on a promise to spend us further into debt and people voted him in. I didn't vote for his party.
Now that he's in, he's generally doing exactly what he said he would for the most part. Excessive spending of money we don't have.
That said... he's a good ambassador for the country and, while he's been in some trouble trying to learn the ropes about what he can and cannot do with the perks of his newfound power, I'm mostly happy with how he's representing us on the world stage.
He's given up on his knee-jerk electoral reform promise, which is a good thing. If we get through this without crippling the country with debt, then I guess all will be well.
Here in Canada we don't have the drastically polarizing schism of left-wing commie libtards vs. right-wing **** nutjobs that you guys deal with down south. All of our parties are far more centrist such that I find I can vote for whoever has the best platform at the time rather than voting along any deep-seated ideological concepts that align me to one party or another as some sort of personal identity concept.
Our Liberal party has a history in my province of fiscal mismanagement to the point of incompetence and our federal Conservative seemed to me to be doing a good job despite some worrying social policies. With that in mind, I voted Conservative but that doesn't mean I'm angry or miserable that the Liberals are in power.
I was disappointed but remain cautiously optimistic that things will go well.

^Well said & agreed. I do hope "he is his fathers son"..
While I am lib, I did not vote for them in my province..... and as expected it's a mess.

Patience and Diligence.
Can get MSRP in California once find the right person.
Call around, go into a few dealers, until u find someone u connect with.
Then wait for the Perfectly timed Porsche release date hype in the following 1/2 year to 1 year time span to work through. The GT2 and RS will be next hype curve. The GT3 991.2 will be available the way u want to order it or sooner if take one off a dealership who has someone's that couldn't afford it or backed out or dealer ordered and wants off his lot.
If u really want the Porsche experience and can wait, highly recommend European Delivery. Order it up so coincides with Summer 2018 production.
Said u have patience - test time.

The reason I asked was because most of the Canadian's I've interacted with over the years seems like fairly conservative folk and Trudeau's election surprised me a bit.

I think Trudeau was elected because a lot of people were being put off by some of the moves the last PM had been making. There were some genuine concerns about some of his social policies turning a bit too far to the right and a little on the authoritarian side. I think they were genuine concerns.
When parties are in power too long here, they start to get cocky and do stupid things. The Liberals that were in power prior to the previous Conservative government went completely off the rails with spending scandals. They got way too comfortable.
This is how the current provincial government in Ontario is and I'm absolutely baffled at their being re-elected in the past two elections.
I think the best outcome would have been for the Conservatives to have won a minority government so they could continue to manage the economy but be held in check on the extra-curriculars. That's not really how things work here though. We tend to have these tidal changes when people don't like things so what's what we got.
As I said... I think he's a good ambassador for the country and has made some good moves on social issues. He put a diverse group of seemingly very qualified people in cabinet positions.
I'm just afraid he's gonna cost me a lot of money once they jack up our taxes to pay for all his whimsy.

I also plan to do european delivery of my .2 GT3 the summer of 2018. Just broke up with my girlfriend, so I will need to find another that is worthy to take on the trip next summer!

Guys, the .2 GT3 will be produced for more than one model year. I think the chance of someone getting a car at MSRP for the 2nd year of production is pretty high!
