Great thread. And congrats.

Your story inspired me to get a full track suit
and replace the stock steering wheel in my GT4
with a Clubsport quick release. I never realized
air bag burns were so common and could be
so serious.

Thanks!

Not actual color as I went matte and picked the sample that was closest to OEM. I think its a little darker than it was born with but I can't tell until I see in full natural light.

looking good - you'll have to post the weight when it is complete. I bet she'll be under 2800 assuming you did side muffler delete and battery...should be fun

Quick pic from 1st track day. Definitely took the handling up a notch with the 295/325 tire combo and the Crawford wing. No more shake and shimmy with hard braking at end of straights. Spent the day getting use to the car and working on my left foot braking. Car went back to the shop at the end of the day for some finish items. I'll get it later next week and when it stops raining here I'll post some outdoor shots.

Thanks for the kudos. It's track performance has been raised a notch and in 2 weeks I'll be at VIR and a pro-racer will take me for a ride in my own car and show me what it can really do. I am marginally worthy of this car from a skills point of view but won't let that stop me from enjoying the living sh** out of it.

Congrats on the final result. I second on what you said about Chris and his shop. My first time there today getting the grand tour and I recognized your car from this thread. I had to snap a pic.

It looks amazing, I dig the race spec interior and your removable custom steering wheel.

I hear there is a PCA meeting there tomorrow night 5/9 and if you are there I would love to hear more about the process and working with Chris.

I have an office in East Windsor that I go to 1 or 2X per week but actually live in the Boston area. If you want to grab lunch some time drop me a PM and I'll send you my email address because I don't always check rennlist.
