I'm found a 2014 gt3 with ceramic brakes , I do a fair amount of track time not sure if those would be worth the cost anyone have thoughts

I don't want to speak for everyone, but my research here shows the following:
1. PCCB's are awesome if you don't track your car, because they keep the wheels cleaner and they weigh less.
2. Stopping power of steel and PCCB are really good (never read a complaint either way)
3. The new PCCBs appear to be better than the last gen (i.e. they last longer on track)
4. Maintenance cost is significantly higher with PCCB, but for street use they could almost last forever.
I am sure others will chime in shortly.

I wouldn't want any part of PCCB on my GT3. I'll track it 8-10 times this year and while I'm sure PCCB can outperform standard brakes there's no way the maintenance costs are worth it to me.

Whatever you decide to do, just remember this.
The only relevant opinions/information needs to be about the Gen 3 PCCBS, which is what is on the 991.1 GT3.
Words of wisdom (or venom) for the Gen 2 PCCBs are largely, if not entirely, irrelevant to your decision.

In the past I've been a steel brake only guy. I'm a flip flop. You can always take away PCCB, but you can never add them. I'm a pccb guy now. If you plan to track it buy some iron and motor on.

Go Girodisc if you plan on tracking you car.
I switched after going thru 2 sets of front PCCBs.
Wish I would have done it after first set!
Wheels are now dirty, but my credit card is not smoking.

I love my PCCBs... my local race shop can outfit the car with steelies for about $5k if I start tracking more than I do and swap them out for about $400. That's pretty cheap to have the option of keeping PCCB for regular driving.
No one has mentioned the noise of the steel brakes. I get it: "race car, we pay more for the squeak", but no matter how you spin it, it's annoying!

Curious how well they actually hold up on the track. Anybody say ****-it and just use them on the track until they've failed. How long did they last?

I'd be curious on that too - and on a 991 not a prior gen car. FWIW - If I had them, I think this is exactly what I'd do. I've come full circle on this but currently I'm against taking perfectly good parts off my car and replacing them with other perfectly good parts.
