Default Anyone replace RS wing end plates with aftermarket ?

Hi Guys ,
I'm wondering if anyone replaced their end plates with aftermarket ones and doesn't plan to hang onto the originals ? After configuring my car in GT Silver with Guards Red wheels , mirrors and graphics Exclusive refused to paint the end plates to match so I'm doing them myself - figure I'll keep the originals and paint a second set . If you have an interest in selling a set please PM with a price - maybe it would work out for both of us .
Thanks,
Bryan

Can you not order a second set from the dealer?

This is probably too obvious and you've already thought of this, but Vinyl wrapping them is cheap easy and replaceable?

Yes - just thought it might save a few bucks and help justify buying the second set .

I guess I'm old school ( and old ) and just like the look of actual paint - it has a certain depth to it .

Have you checked out the new "depth increaser" films you can apply over the vinyl wrap to make it look more like paint?..

To be honest - no , but I don't view this as temporary - it should have been done at the factory like the '07/'08 and '10/'11 model year cars . I've been offered a fairly good discount on the parts ( comes to around $800 ) and figure I'd do better with used so it's not like it's a huge expenditure relative to the cost of the car . I figure I ought to hang onto the black painted originals just case the car gets sold down the road and someone wants it back to factory delivered condition .

Agree. Vinyl can NEVER look as good as paint.

agreed - paint is the correct way to do it. Vinyl is a quick and cheap fix. I never do the easy way. LOL - I am a detail freak - just not in my DNA.

Just have vinyl for now, then paint later.

That's what I'm going to do my silver twin.
