Champion P has two of these "race endurance editions , one white one red
That option cost was 16k or maybe 18k I don't recall exactly not even sure what it included for those dollars , early am before sales guys and didn't spark an interest for me
worth remembering to inquiry on , Geez guess I just missed a huge profit opportunity .

For me, the value in such a rare Porsche is easier to understand than older gold coins, where one year with super low mintage might be with 100 times more what the adjacent year or different mint mark of the same exact coin is worth. Or how about a bunch of Bitcoins, which are nothing more than a bunch of unique numbers in cyberspace that can't be guessed, worth a thousand bucks or whatever. I could enjoy owning the Porsche. Those other investments give me no pleasure of ownership until they are sold and then, only if at a profit. The Porsche is fun to own and drive. This is why collector cars are so big nowadays. The mintage is sometimes more important than year and condition, but Porsches pay pleasure dividends to own them.

The poor sap got bamboozled by another unscrupulous Porsche dealer. You know they were feeding him lines like, "money in the bank" and convinced him that they were doing him a favor by selling the car to him. Either that, or the guy is delusional.

It's actually pretty sad how the brand has attracted these kinds of people. When there's scarcity, and money to be made, they come out of the woodwork. Porsche is also to blame for this as well. Kind of a turn off to me.

I emailed the guy and offered him $100,000.00 over MSRP and he declined. His response:
"I share your thoughts,, butttt it is one of one,, like I said in the ad. The 911 R there are 991 sold only to 918 buyers,, who gets the other ones,, and it is going for 3 time MSRP many have already sold for 600k,, the 918 ,, there are 918 of them and they are going for between 2 an 3 times over MSRP,,, this car there are only 235 world wide,, only 100 in North America ,, only 73 in the USA,, and!!!!!! Only ONE,, that is 1. 7 speed manual shift,,, now how rare is this,,, The Rennsport is selling for over 3 times sticker,,,, This car is more rare than any of those,,, so 3 times MSRP. Is a real deal,,, when it is gone,, you will. NEVER see another ,, because there is only one,, Thanks Gary"

Saw this very car at Porsche Beachwood in September last year and said then and will say again...
eh. doesnt really excite me. just a new turbo c2s with some stickers. would rather have a gts or 50th that both have the power kit and the 50th looks a lot better

Meanwhile in the real world...
https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...-off-msrp.html
So we have reached peak insanity with a $320k manual premium. Good luck with that...

What a tool. If you think about it, almost every Porsche is a 1 of 1, because it's almost impossible to order 2 cars exactly the same with so many freaking options. A mundane Carrera S with GTS-like options will never be valuable beyond the cost of the options and maybe a few grand more, just like a GTS.
