Poll: 991.2 GT3 - PDK or Manual?

Agrees that results are interesting... seems to bolster the notion I'd heard expressed before that there may be an even split on orders. Also from comments it seems there are 2 camps on each side:
manual camp 1: knows it's slower, just wants the enjoyment of rowing the gears.
Manual camp 2: certain manual is superior no matter what.
PDK-S camp 1: would prefer a manual but can't do it for practical reasons (health or comfort related)
PDK-S camp 2: true converts to PDK-S for its performance and feel.
I guess one thing i wonder wonder is how much of an effect pent-up demand is having on these results? If the 991.1 GT3 had been available with manual or PDK, would there be far fewer votes above for manual? Or conversely, if the 991.1 GT3 has been manual only and the 991.2 GT3 was the first with choice of PDK-S or manual, would there be far more votes for PDK-S than manual?

Always had a manual and love them. I would be driving an R right now if I could have got one . Give me a GT3 with manual and wing delete option. As a matter
of fact take the limited plate number off the R and start making more of them.
Maybe give it a GT3 R badge. I know never will happen. Drove one, nothing left to say that has not been said here before.

I am not a manual romantic. Left that behind a long time agoafter years and years of driving manual cars.
For me NOTHING can match charging down Kemmel straight at Spa touching 250+Kph on the speedo then hitting the brakes hard and before you know it, the PDK has gone bam, bam, bam, done to third and you are into Les Combes and...gone. Thrilling. You just cannot do this in a manual.

The 991.2 GT3 in manual will be EPIC!
And BTW...even though I'd pay more for a manual, pdk will most likely cost extra. For the 991.2 GTS that just came out, pdk's price went up in the US!

I'm number two at my dealership for the .2 GT3 and as of right now I'm undecided. I'm a huge manual transmission fan, but the PDK in my current GT3 is an absolute riot. It also makes the car substantially faster than a manual trans would be. I'll be looking at the performance data carefully, but if there's a significant performance hit to ticking the manual trans, I'll probably go PDK. I also like the fact that the PDK doesn't get caught up in the "Porsche ignition range" hysteria. The amount of hand wringing that arises from that in the 997TT forums annoys me tremendously.

PDK-S is the highest performance configuration on the GT3. For many, that is all that will matter. There is also a good chance the 991.1 GT3 will be faster than the 991.2 manual GT3 on most tracks.
