We should all thank the God who created engineers, and the govt. public safety nannies that we all love to hate, for making it such that people can walk away from accidents like this that would have killed them 25 years ago. Horrific accident, sad to lose the cars, but man, it's awesome that nobody was seriously injured or killed.
And that picture is exactly why I haven't purchased an RS. I fear that my lack of skills will leave it ending up looking like that.

They should be thankful it happened on a modern F1 track with TECPRO barriers because if it'd been the blue bushes at the Glen or the jersey barriers at Sebring I doubt the result would've been the same.

I hate seeing stuff like this. This is the downside to having fun at the track. We all know it's a calculated risk. It's like skydiving, scuba diving in motorcycle riding.
This is why it's more important to have better safety equipment then it is to have a fast car.
