All you can do is pray now or pay over MSRP to get a flipped car.

Trying to get some value out of this.

When the 991.1 GT3 came out (say first six months or so) what was the premium on flipped cars vs. the premium dealers were charging for configurable allocations? My only interest is that I want a car - I'm not a flipper or collector just a driver/HPDE user.

FWIW - I bought a new GT4 for my dealer but still am skeptical as to if I'll actually get an allocation for a GT3 even-though I have a deposit down.

Soo much speculation...
I am on "the list" as well. Not willing to pay any extra over MSRP. I bought 3 cars from my P-car dealer in 4 years. If I will not have an allocation, then never mind, no more P car. Will completely switch to McLaren. Porsches are nice but .. they need a reality check. There are other cars out there.

I don't remember there being much of a difference in premium between a flipped car and a configurable car. It seemed more region specific and dealer specific to me. For example I got mine at MSRP from a small dealer, no previous purchases, just a referral from a friend. People in CA were calling them about my car offering over MSRP for it.

Cool. What was the premium initially?

My experience was yes ,waited my turn till
My dealer called with commission # to spec the order .my time line deposit at largest P dealer in s. FL. 4 days after initial
Release in Geneva March /13 #8 on there list, production starts months later, then stop sale, then renewed production, then delivery 11/14 @ msrp
Perhaps not for the impatient.

How true. There's nothing you can do but play the waiting game and be patient.

Well not exactly for me , many calls, and
Brand Ambassador visits advocating
All the goodness of the up coming car
And eagerness to be on board .I'M certain
If I called and gave a deposit and waited for the phone ring, I would still be waiting!!!

If buying 3 cars in 4 years doesn't get you an allocation, there isn't any hope for me or others!
