Appreciate the input guys.
Also have to weigh in the current owner sold the aero cup wing (
) so I have to buy a replacement ($1300~), repaint the front spoiler he took off and its in Los Angelos ($1500~ to ship). 
Have to add in $4000.00~ just in shipping and putting it back to stock.

Having a 991 GTS makes me realize that the 997 GTS may have been the best of the non-track water cooled P cars. Add in the manual transmission....I can understand your dilemma.

Something tells me that your memory of what the car was is greater than the actual driving experience. I would drive it again before committing... you may feel differently. IMHO.
