I hope this is the case, it was 104F here yesterday, left the car parked outside for lunch, terrible drive home. Hard to tell what's going on with the increased noise.

I installed these on my car and I like them so far. No loss of throttle response detected. Slight drone when lugging on side roads under 3k RPM but nothing my wife complains about. Sound is definitely better than stock.
I love the sound you get just driving around town now, no more need to rev it out so much and travel at warp speed.

I've been getting this strange metallic whining sound at idle...not all the time though, do you ever get that? I wonder if it's been installed properly on my car...

Update: Weather cooled down massively today and can confirm it was the heat causing the loss of throttle response over the past few days. Car sounds epic even at low speeds without having the valves anymore. I had my friend drive it down the street, love how good the RS looks on the road and just sounds so great without the side mufflers.

Drone exists at around 2-2500 rpm but it's minimal. Loving the car much more now!

Nice to know about the heat. Right now we're experiencing the opposite, extremely cold....

How do you get away with no cats in NE? Every state up here has emission testing AFAIK.

It's all about WHO you know.

I have friends in the right places to help me pass the emissions inspection.

In PA emissions is exempt if mileage is less then 5K annually.
BUT tech is suppose to do a "visual inspection" to see if cat(s) are in place.

Just wanted to update this thread...I've since put the side mufflers back in and put a sharkwerks rear muffler bypass on, same setup i had on my 997.

This is definitely the way to go!! The car was losing a lot of throttle response under 3500rpm with the side muffler bypass and the drone was slowly killing me. It isn't much louder than stock over 3500rpm either...The car is now as responsive as stock with the SW and really lets rip over 3500rpm. Avoid the side muffler delete IMO.

Alex was great to deal with as always!

Glad you're all happy now. I too felt what you were feeling when i had my GT3 with FVD deletes. Lugging it at low rpm was horrible and without a doubt I felt flatspot in the lower rpm range.

Installing the key fob to keep the valves always open or always closed with FVD side muffler deletes.
Sound is not as nice as Sharky and you lose TQ below 3000RPM but at the track I prefer side muffler delete.

Replicates a Cup exhaust, which is good enough for me.
