Default OT: Top Gear 2017

"The new series of Top Gear hits screens soon. And this is our first glimpse at what it will contain: sideways Ferraris, sideways Astons and, um, some naked hikers. Yep.

Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris and Rory Reid are back on your telly very soon, and as you can see in the clip above, getting themselves past the BBC insurance department hasn’t been easy.

But there’s also a taster of just what they managed to slip past health and safety. Namely drifting a 1,036bhp Ferrari FXX K, partaking in a car chase with Aston Martin’s new DB11, having a bit of a coming together in a race across the Kazakhstan wilderness, and picking up those aforementioned brazen hitchhikers in an Avtoros Shaman.

More will be revealed soon, so keep your eyes peeled…"

things positiv for me - those three guys are fully ok for a re-re-launch.

GrandTour is imho not better than the old TopGear. Somehow i´m missing the guests.

I see TopGear V3 as a more professional show in terms of objective reviews. what a surprise based on clarkson on the other side.

i´m happy to be able to enjoy two highclass shows.

Top Gear, IMO, cannot survive with joey & his friends..

I enjoyed the new Grand Tour. I fully expect them to continue dialing in the show and look forward to the next season.

They need to get rid of the NASCAR guy and celebrity brain crash on The Grand Tour. I miss the guests on the show as well.

As for TG, I'm still puzzled as to why Joey is there. Yes, he is a car guy, but IMO, he doesn't belong on the show. I may be the only one in the world who actually liked Chris Evans. At least he had a bit of enthusiasm (okay, maybe a lot).

All in all though, they are both decent shows and better than any other motoring show out there. I'll happily watch both.

Both TG and TGT make me smile, there are cars in it too, so I'm watching.

The last 3 shows of GT were hilariously naughty. I like like Chris Harris, not a fan of Joey buy having two shows to watch is great. if GT could get Ben Collins as himself that would be cool. He has a real dry sense of humor. But I imagine they do not want a 4th star so Skinner fits that role, but his scripted demeanor makes the show lack somehow.

+1

But I think that GT been a bit lazy.

The three guys make brilliant stuff from time to time... Unfortunately I think it is longer and longer between those magic moments.

TG was awful last year. Chris Evans was probably the most annoying TV personality I've ever seen. Leblanc was actually better than I expected, because he's a car guy and he actually has some comedic timing. Harris is good in short YouTube snippets, but I find his persona tiring in large doses. Didn't care for him on that Drive or Driven or whatever that NBCSN show was called.

TGT was way better than TG, IMO, though I think it still can improve. It has been better every episode after being a little clunky early on. Agree they do need to drop celebrity brain crash and get a better writer for the American's lines.

I sure hope it improves. The only TGT episode I have enjoyed so far was the Namibia special. I was a huge TG fan, and honestly didn't think these guys (Willman included) could botch this up so badly...

Looking forward to new TG now that pinhead is gone.

New Top gear looks great and its hard not to love Chris Harris. The Grand Tour needs to dump the Nascar stig and drop celebrity brain crash but overall happy to have both shows on the air.

These are my main complaints about the new show as well. The other is that they need more super cars...at least 1 per episode.

Overall very happy the boys are back though!

Grand Tour is a disappointment - they have very few actual bits about cars....

Top Gear will be better as the seem focused on actual cars and not the nonsense GT are now peddling.
