My old 356 was an incredible color called Oslo Blue. I'd love to see someone PTS in that color. It was incredible in the sunlight. Very much in the same color family.
I no longer own the car. It was was sold to a local Miami RL'er who then sold it after a year or two. I think it went back to Europe (it was a Euro car).
Turkish Red is similar to Carmine red I think:
Just a gorgeous 356 Pre-A 1955 Continental Coupe, JD! Too bad
you didn't keep it!

'Turkish Red' is a rather rare color used by Porsche for MY1954
/1955. It's more vibrant than the other Middle-East affiliated
color of the 356 period - the MY1950/1953 'Pascha Red' (named
after the Egyptian ruler & early Porsche customer).
Today's 'Carmine Red' is not quite similar to the old 'Turkish Red'.
The current 'Special Color' is somewhat more alive & lighter in
color to 'Turkish Red'! The latter was darker, with some brown
hues in the mix. 'Carmine' does tend to get 'darker' & 'richer'
when not exposed to bright light:
But it tends to get brighter in direct sun light:

Interestingly, 'Pascha Red' (color code W15) is available today via PTS
at Porsche.
'Turkish Red' was not available PTS the last time I checked.
Miami blue is now a standard Porsche color isn't it?.. with as difficult as PTS is, i find that Miami is "close enough" to give you the light blue color car without the headache of somewhat similar Mexico/riviera/ etc etc...

Yes, it's a Special color option priced at US$3140.
And that was Porsche idea in introducing a vibrant
solid color close to the King & Queen of PTS (by
popular demand) - 'Riviera' & Mexico'! And not
only do you save the difference between that &
US$6950 in PTS on a 991, but you also avoid the
'vagaries' (I am trying to be diplomatic here! )
of the erratic PTS windows & limited PTS slots at
PAG Zuffenhausen!
But that doesn't work very well if your interest
(like mine) is in the 'green' hues, or other color
palettes!

Good for you. I love Pre-As! They were the purest design form created by Porsche...ever!

Hello Eduardo,
Do you think Miami will be a special color offering for the 991.2 gt3?
