Default GT3RS pricing

I have been watching the gt3rs' on the market. It seems that 20-30k over msrp is reasonable now. Do you guys think getting at msrp is foreseeable?

Managed to get a customizable build slot for 20k over. Thought it was well worth it being that i could choose all options myself. I wouldn't pay over sticker for a car that didnt have my exact build

EU is for most RL´ers not interesting... but i keep posting if you don´t mind... maybe it could be taken as indicator.

EU is already at MSRP for closed deals.

found today a barney for around 10k€ below MSRP: http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/de...=Recommend_DES

soon i will buy a 991RS - again! but this time a "cheap" one from a frustrated speculator - and than i will use it for backroads-shredding
(didn´t had the heart to do it with my first unique one )

Buy it now! Prices will move up again soon! (Production will end, the number of cars are much lower than was speculated...)

Time will tell, but I would imagine over a period of time they will go back up. Will Porsche skip GT3 RS 991.2? Then the next model will be 992 RS? Will that have KERS or turbo? If I was to guess, I predict that GT cars will go with some sort of power adder in the near future.

This makes sense.

I think you can see MSRP the middle of this winter for loaded up, high MSRP cars.
In the spring prices may start rising and then it all depends on what the 991.2's availability and price will become.

My view is that if you can get an RS you love for around $200k it's a good value.

I keep saying it. Maybe because I like hearing myself talk.

Even if production was approximately 4000/4500 ww it is still a limited car build. For ww production thats not alot. I think its closer to 3500 to 4000.

Total Ford GT production is 4038 ww with roughly 3000 in North America.

Loess and consensus puts only 1500 991RS's in North America. Clearly not many around. What's in EU, Asia etc is irrelevant to me in USA and market here especially the rhd cars.

While the new .2 GT3 will have the 4.0 it is not an RS and will not have RS features. While those I respect and have access to inside info have told me PAG will be keeping GT cars NA I don't buy it and think its a head fake from PAG.

I buy they will stay NA for LMS/GTE racing since they have the beneift of BOP but for the street and public consumption EVERYTHING is going turbo. NA is a thing of the past. Better fuel efficiency, more power less weight, improviing turbo tech reducing lag and no doubt they will figure out how to bring more NA sound even if its on tape.

488GTB, Macs, Nissan GTR, AMG GT R, New ZR1, Audi R8's, M4's. Even from within Porsche the GT's are being caught by the new C2S and no doubt the new GTS. How will a NA 6 cyclinder hope to keep up? Tell me. I'd love to know. Even a 4.2 which I understand PAG does not want to go to will have a hard time keeping pace especially by 2019/2020 which would be the likely time frame for a new GT3RS. By then TT technology will be far advanced from where it is today.

The public wants the fastest 1/4 and 0-60. They want the car that can bludgen the Ring better then others. Look at the new AMG GT R. How is an NA 6 cyclinder going to run with that beast if the AMG's numbers we are seeing aren't cooked? Tell me? Oh, and at $200K?

At the turn of the last century there were those that doubted the car would replace the horse. We all know how that ended for horse dealers.

I believe the next GT3RS will be TT or have some power adder or the GT3 will be a thing of the past replaced by the GT2/RS which now finds itself at home in a TT world with all TT competitors.

Not everyone cares about fastest. I'd argue fewer today than in the past given current performance level of even lowly hot hatches. Refer to 911R reviews.

Porsche has turbo GT covered. It's called GT2 RS and it's coming.

Plenty of demand left for Porsche NA GT cars.

And around and around we go. Production over. Can't get any more. GT3 manual is not an RS. Will never be. About 100 cars for sale on the market all averaging 25k over. When you see an RS for sale at MSRP send me the link..

agree with your comment... I actually prefer naturally aspirated or supercharged. Not all about stats. Experience as well.

The experience itself is worth over msrp. At least it was for me. Nothing like a naturally aspirated 9000 rpm. And this will be my first Porsche and i made the decision once i seen the redline on tach. It was either the rs or a speciale. Had a handshake agreement with someone for a 62 mile speciale and the exact combo i wanted and they broke the agreement after they shook hands with me and received an offer for 5k higher than mine. Didn't offer again on principle alone.

sorry for the somewhat redundant post. I thought i was editing my previous post
