And, as has been stated previously, it's not speed bumps that are an issue (although I probably drive over a speed bump once a month, if that), it's driveways to residences.

The problem is the transition in the slope of the driveway and not how steep it is. Unfortunately, if the driveway is short, a more gradual transition will have a significant effect on the slope required.

I was 100% in the camp of not getting the lift.
Ive driven lowered cars since my first Integra in 94. I didn't think it was necessary.
Buuuuuut....
I must say, I use it every day. Its awesome!
Plus its super fun to release the pressure when you pull up. Makes a cool hissing sound.
Its a must have. Get it, you wont be disappointed.

What's the benefit of not having it?
It's standard on all 991 GT3/RS in Australia now, but I would say you probably don't need it in the RS, it's pretty high off the ground at the front compared to my 997.2 GT3

Apparently some people think reducing the weight of the GT3 by ~15 lbs (the weight of the Front Axle Lift) is critical.

haha nice ^^^
I found I was using the lift a good bit on a cruise the other day chasing a 991 GTS & TTS - neither have the issues that are found on the GT3 with the lip. At some points I had to take strategic moves to keep from slamming the lip/bumper- when the other cars just took the downhill left turn without an issue. I think it is a good feature.

Total waste IMO. Here in Fl where I live I haven't ever scraped my GT3.

Don't get the debate here sometimes. Some call it a waste, and if that's the case don't buy it. I couldnt get me car out of my driveway if I didn't have a lift, and I would be reduced to where I can drive my car in my city. My house sits on a hill, and has a basement.
