This forum is so amazing to get great ideas and info. That is if you can read between all the constant whining and complaints!
Nice! That's the beauty of vinyl!! You can experiment for not too much money.

Have fun!

Alan I see you had more perseverance to stay up for the docking! I missed your post earlier.

Too bad we can't stalk the trucks.

Or.....maybe it's a good thing

From what I'm reading (in general) - about a day to unload a vessel carrying cars

That is a LOT of cars . I hate doing it , but I guess I'll bug my sales guy to see if he has any updates . I've been on dealer lots on a Sunday when trucks come in to drop off cars - this could be a weekend when some cars land on the lots .

Not likely this weekend:

A day to unload
1-3 days to clear customs (typically)
Release for transport/Monroney printed.
At this point the dealer pays PCNA for the car and gets bill of lading from carrier.
1-3 days for carrier to show. My dealer says they are shipped by Reliable or similar enclosed specialty carrier.
Once on truck it depends on how many stops and how close to Rhode Island, and of course traffic, weather delays.
I'm hoping it's at the dealer by 20th.
Once it's on a truck dealer will know when it exits the port

I'm betting for most it'll be next week or weekend at the earliest but if it all goes well and quickly I assume this weekend is possible (not likely)

This all pretty much jives with what my dealer says and strangely though my car was finished earlier than first projected and sat at Emden for a month it was scheduled for arrival at the dealer on the 20th from the very first tracking I received - I guess they know what they're doing .

Well - the Goodwood has left port. It was only there about 10 hours, so our cars are unloaded. This supports the theory that it takes a day to unload. It would be interesting to know if it was at full capacity with cars - but it doesn't matter.

Goodwood is headed to JAX for arrival on Monday.

Barring something unforeseen I'd think you'll have it much earlier than Feb 10th. Lots of ups and downs with this whole process for sure .

Agree wholeheartedly!

It could arrive at the dealer by the end of next week (hope so).
We are debating whether to go with the satin xpel full wrap (for a matte appearance) or do the regular glossy wrap.

I learned today that hubby wants an exhaust mod.

By the time the car is wrapped and the exhaust is done (assuming it's done before we bring it home) that could take another week. I don't expect to have it home before the end of the month but it makes no difference since it won't be driven till spring.
