48 PTS cars world wide. 24 family and internal cars, 24 for "normal" customers.
Woah, that is far fewer than we've heard before. Very interesting. I just assumed when I read 50 that was all for customers. I wonder why so many (half) were reserved for "family and internal" cars. Has that (50% of PTS builds off limits to customers) ever happened before with any other Pcar? And can you help us understand a bit more about the source of your info?

I don't know, but I would assume that there is always a number of cars for the family and similar that we might never see and that are made with very special requests. So it is probably nothing special that ca 25 Rs are made like that.
The special thing about the R is that only 25 cars world-wide are made PTS for "normal customers". I assume that Porsche were convinced to make a few, e.g. for 1967 R owners, friends of the house and similar. Quite a different story than for the 991 RS.
