Default Anyone notice any haze marks on their rear window.

I recently brought my rs to the car wash for the fast time. They noticed their are some haze mark on the rear window that can't be remove. it is hard to see under daylight , but it is visible under florescent in the car shop. I tried to take some photos but is hard to see since there are reflections.

It is actually very visible under florescent light with the human eye

I probably will just leave it even if they would most likely replace it but just want to see if anyone has the same problem or just mine.

Whatever you do, don't replace it. It may never be the same. Easy for most to say but I would live with it.

If you want to REALLY clean the window, use #0000 steel wool
And no, it DOES NOT SCRATCH your windows
But you must use #0000....not 3,2,1,0,00,000
Sprayway glass cleaner + #0000 steel wool = clean windows
Follow up with another shot of Sprayway & clean microfiber and you're done

Bill

P.S...again, it will NOT scratch your windows !!!

Can't tell from the pics, but I assume the hazing is definitely on the outside and they tried to clean the inside too? Sorry, likely redundant thinking.

This is a common issue on ROW 991 GT3RS as they have plastic windows where as the US cars have glass.

In ROW land the rear and side windows are a mare to keep from looking marked and scratched and most learn to live with it....

This is pretty interesting . Never knew. I do use 0000 steel wool to clean ceramic coating, which it does beautifully. Thanks!

To OP.

You are based in HK.

Your window is plastic. It will mark like this with age (more and more so). Suggest you don't use wire wool...

Never wash your car yourself; Ignorance is bliss.
I can barely see out of the windows half the time and my car is flawless underneath the dirt. That's my story and im sticking too it. About to drive it home through another daily South Florida thunderstorm LOL.

If plexi window, correct..do NOT use steel wool
Assumption was U.S = glass window, where #0000 steel wool = clean windows

Agreed. With plexi you need to do whole window in one go. Tape of edges and use a very very fine wet abrasive (like toothpaste) and a machine very carefully. Problem is it will leave a circular "glare" and you cant do anything about that without removing the window and doing it on a jig. Folks in ROW land like here get over the "light weight window" thing very quickly and all wish they had glass (plastic also lets in more solar and also noise).
