I realize that this isn't comparing apples to apples, stock to stock.. But if the problem with the gt4 platform is the engine, just add sport headers, Cobb, and TB... You realize it was all there locked up, Like Porsche keeping Cinderella in the closet when it was time to choose the fairest one in the land. Especially when you add the bigger intake portion.. It actually breaths on top end, not quite gt3... But much much more satisfying.

Macca STUPENDOUS review. Educated, on point and detailed...expected nothing less when I saw this thread form you.

Hard to compare a GT3 and GT4 engine to each other, the GT3 engine is a whole other animal. However, although the GT4 engine may not have the same high rpm ripsnort potential..upgrading the headers to start on the GT4 really does transform the car, and allows the engine and exhaust to be part of that memorable driving experience Macca pointed out is lacking stock (at least compared to a GT3).
