Default 991.2 GT3RS engine options poll

After reading way to many threads regarding the next 991.2 GT3RS engine options I figured I'd start a thread. Everyone has an opinion so lets hear it!

I don't think there will be a .2 3RS at all - perhaps a limited run 'cup' edition with a 4.2 (and PDK only).

I agree; no .2 RS... but there will be a GT3 with 3.8L w/Manual and PDK options; this car will be made in larger quantities. Limited will be the GT2-RS; which will be a 3.8 with large turbos; making it the fastest 911 ever to lap the ring.

If they are going to build a GT3.2 why not a RS rendition? It's a cash cow. The GT2 will not be a useful street car thus a very limited number especially at the price point (close to $300,000) being thrown around.

Because a) I think the .2 will only be around for 2 more model years before the 992 nows. It'll therefore be too close to the end of the 991 life cycle (and too close to the end of the .2 RS production) b) another NA RS won't have the performance to compete with Ferrari, Lambo or McLaren in a few years. The game will have (actually it has) moved on. If the new RSR is turbo as speculated, that will be the final nail in the NA .2 RS coffin.

Enter GT2 RS as the ultimate and final 991 rendition, save for an ultra limited 4.2 cup edition which will mainly be a collector's car a la 911R.

I agree with Laguna that Porsche will pump out many .2 GT3's.

I heard no more NA GT3. It will be replaced with an all electric car, dubbed GTƐ.

Whoever thinks the RS is going to be MT is smoking crack. GT heads themselves said RS cars will be PDK going forward.
