I test drove this this morning. I had driven the 12c a few years ago and thought it pretty nice and compliant for street driving.

But this, OMG right when I first started driving it, it was comfortable, seats were amazingly comfortable, the ride was remarkably smooth and generally so composed. Its like looking at a sports car but driving a luxury sedan it was so nice. The suspension is truly amazing for the street. Compared to my TTS this ride was like butter..

I also focused on the turbo lag, there is almost none. One of the reasons I got rid of my TTS was the turbo lag, here I thought you do feel it but for just a split second if even that. Didn't quite feel N/A but pretty darn close, closer than anything i've driven.

What I wasn't sure about was the hydraulic steering, I thought it felt light and more electronic than hydraulic. The accelerator was also really light, had little resistance, and the brake pedal was set farther down than I was used to.

Other than that the car drove like a dream. Debating on whether to add it to the garage, the numbers we're tossing around seem ok but with these McLarens the depreciation is just crazy except for the 675LT. I just have no idea what the right market price for this car is. They've had it since the beginning of the year.

Thoughts?

Maybe February. McLaren dealer opened a couple years ago, didn't do well so it was sold to a BMW dealer that I know well, so the GM let me test drive it today for a good 20-30 minutes.

It was at a Lambo/McLaren cars and coffee. 2-3 McLarens showed up tops probably over 30 Lambos. So I'm guessing it hasn't done well locally.

We get demo models that we are not allowed to sell for 60-90 days. Factory specs them out

Did all of this transpire just this year? I was wondering why the McLaren dealership apparently moved from Tyson's to Sterling, I figured they were just moving the McLaren brand to its own showroom, but getting bought out would explain it. The Tyson's folks seemed nice enough, although they never followed up when I originally inquired about the 570S.

The 570S seems to be a phenomenal and wicked fast car, but yeah McLaren depreciation rates are still a wildcard. The factory lease should have a calming effect on residuals but I feel like they might have produced too many 570S's which will predictably lower values. Especially if they've got some sitting around at the end of the year that they need to discount.

Car looks awesome.. Love it in Black!

I want to add a McLaren to the Stable. It is not in the cards right now but when the time comes I'd have to really consider which model has stabilized that I could afford. Like others have stated, it is tough to spend that much on a car that could drop in value so quickly. At present I'd buy a used 650S
