Porsche vs Ferrari
I am really kidding on this, so don't take it personal! lol
I saw a really good looking red 458 yesterday. So I decided to visit a Ferrari forum, and read up on the 458. It sure seems like the 458 had a lot of strange issues, including non-working A/C, shoddy passenger vanity mirrors, poor brakes, a cowl shake, etc. As I am reading this I am wondering how Ferrari could struggle with quality while Porsche just killed the GT3. And then it hit me...

I haven't heard or had any issues with my a/c. The brakes work fine but they clearly aren't as good as Porsche brakes. I do think everything is more precise and feel like my RS is fitted for me perfectly. Oh yeah, anyone interested in a 2012 458 Italia with 4K miles that's red on black?

I have a 2013 458, for me it's better in many ways, not to mention faster and with a much better transmission than my 991 GT3! I have both because both have great qualities. Overall preference comes down to the individual. If I could only have one the 458 would be the clear choice for me.

I had a 2014 458 Spider. Cowl shake was negligible in city driving. The battery was replaced and the folding roof mechanism was repaired under warranty. The 458 was exhilarating and always a special event to drive, even while daily driving. The sound of the engine was intoxicating and the DCT was as good as PDK.
I passed on my 488 Spider allocation. Looking for a low mileage, lightly used Huracan.

I believe the Italians can be clever when not on their coffee break!
Case in point, snapped this picture while living/working/studying in Turin. Novulari drove this little twin-engined terror.

Going on year 4 for my 2013 458....there is not a better sound in the world than the car at 9K rpm's.....if I had to choose owning just one it would be an easy choice....the Ferrari.

I am getting rid of my orange Huracan with 3200 miles. Overall, best lamborghini car they have built. However, it was not as much fun to drive as my previous 458 coupe. As a result, I bought a 458 spider. The sound, steering, feel and overall driving experience is better for me in the Ferrari. The Huracan has better tech on the interior, but it is a more showy car than a drivers car in my opinion.
Having a 458 spider and a GT3 RS is so sick! Best of both worlds.

I had a 2014 458 spider that I got after I traded in the Huracan. I actually preferred my 911 turbo s over the huracan. Huracan just looks wicked but didn't love the drive. Just try and test drive the Huracan before you buy and its good you are buying used, personally had more fun in my 458. Currently have a 488 coupe which has crazy torque and rides better than 458. Hopefully will be getting my 488 spider later this year...

And to the OP, saying that Porsche just killed it with the GT3 is being clueless to what has been going on.
No car comes without troubles. The bottom line is buy what excites you most and what you like driving best. There are going to be problems. The GT3 looks like every 911 out there and the Ferrari 458 is just much sexier. German engineering is usually more reliable and italian engineering is more emotional usually. Pick your poison.
