Thanks guys, appreciate the wishes. Here are some photos courtesy of Stuart Drummond. The elite PTS Brand Ambassador. This fellow goes over the top to get things done. He was instrumental with this build. Top notch guy and superb service. Thanks for all the compliments and wishes. The car is insane.

It is appreciated!

It's been there for a while Mooty. It appeared on the
2/25/2015 list that I posted back in 3/28/15 in my 991
forum 'sticky' on 'Custom Ordering':

And it's on the last approved PTS list from Porsche I posted
on this forum on the 'PTS Reference Thread' dated 5/12/2015
...which was closer to the time when limited PTS orders got
approved & allocated for the 991 gt3 RS!
https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...91-gt3-rs.html
But don't fret...you were able to get 'Signal Yellow' (or 'Mango')
which rocks!

We discussed it here:

I don't think they have changed the color or formula.
Note that the color code remains 82N, which dates
back to at least 1992 when Porsche offered a color
they called 'Rubystone Red'.
I have been following the story of this color for a
while because I believe it's very close to the vintage
1974 911 color that went by the German name
'karminrot'.
And it was one of the IROC car's colors:
But that is a different story which I am still
researching!

What we do know is that Porsche considered
choosing Sternrubin 82N as a 'Special Color'
for the 997 gt3 RS & had the paint department
create a sample for approval of the Supervisory
Board. Its a fascinating 'side story' about this
unusual & historic color:

'Magenta'...
You are welcome, Daniel. Yes, I have always though of
this color ('Rubystone Red'/'Sternrubin') as 'Magenta' &
have described it as such in previous posts here on Rennlist:
Here is a better shot of that .2 997 gt3 RS which
is now part of the collection at the Porsche Museum
in Zuffenhausen. I took this photo one year ago during
a private tour of the restoration area (behind the glass
wall one sees from inside the Museum) with Dieter
Landenberger, the Manager of the Historical Archives.
**
Last year I was also able to photograph a rare
964 RS near Düsseldorf at Classic Remis in this
'Rubystone Red' color.
So there is a strong history of using this unusual
color on Porsche RS models, starting with the
1974 RSR...
...then to the 1992 RS & finally to the 991 gt3 RS
of today!

It takes a special person to order a Porsche in this
special hue. 'Magenta' is a very historical color at
Porsche & I salute both the OP & my fellow R Gruppe
couple in Southern California for having had the guts
to order such a stunning color on their RS's!
