Default Salomondrin's Predictions on GT3 991.2

I'll just leave this here. I take AP way more seriously than this guy.

I believe the .2 is gonna be a manual turbo following the turbo revolution of the 911 gamma, btw the rear bumper in the latest spy shots doesn't match the app leak we saw last week (air vents).

My guess is this will be a N/A manual GT3. If it had turbos, wouldn't it be considered a GT2? There are no side intake for the turbos either.

I think his videos are click bait but he has a point with the 911R, the question is if Porsche is going to release the ultra exclusive 911R Manual/NA and then the GT3.2 with the same Manual/NA combination.

I also noticed this. The latest spy photos with GT3 991.1 rear bumper could actually be old photos from an R mule.

NA and squeeze another 15-HP to 490-HP which will be slower than RS & R. Problem solved. It's all how they market the damn thing.

I disagree w/ Salomondrin, it may be manual option but no way would they make it manual only and not have PDK as option. Engine-wise I think they'll stick w/ 3.8 w/ hp bump to 490 or so, but 4.0 wouldn't surprise me. No turbos.

We know he has a 4.0.. So ya he doesnt WANT to be manual and NA, that's what he meant.

NA 3.8, slightly lower HP, good bump in torque, drop in red line, drop in weight, manual option, improved suspension and steering, quicker PDK, rear view camera and PCM / Nav upgrades... JMHO

Interesting views. His whole flow is about how Porsche will get out of the PDK box w/o offending all 991.1 GT3/RS owners. But that assumes that Porsche sees PDK as boxing them in. All I know is that Porsche will sell the whole production run of 991.2 GT3s even if they are fitted a CVT! No need to worry we will find out pretty soon.

I don't expect more torque unless Porsche increases engine displacement to 4.0L. If they stick with the 3.8L engine, the best you can hope for is a little more horsepower.

"There is no replacement for displacement"

He is wrong about the .2 GT3.

Why so much hate towards this guy?. Banging gears is a great series.
