Porsche is smart and it could be PDK and they just using the shifter to shift so there no paddles. I hope there a manual option but until I see a release it could all be malreting ploy to get the market primed up for the car. I hope it is a manual though.

Porsche is smart, I agree. I don't see what they gain by teasing us with the possibility of a manual, only to dash our hopes again (after the 911R was not made available to regular customers)

No kidding. It's the manual GT3 obviously. They've already done the development work on the drivetrain (911R), they know there's the demand...no brainer. They will do what sells.

If they bring out a manual GT3 with the 500hp 4.0 motor, who is going to want the R? Someone who hates spoilers?

It will still be collectible for its special optics and tie-in to the 50th Anniversary of the first racing 911. But, not sure the huge premiums currently being paid will endure...

Porsche's talked a lot about more differentiation between the GT3 and RS. Given this and the R I wouldn't expect to see the 4.0 in the .2 GT3. I wonder if there will even be a .2 RS this time?

These pictures, while pointing in the MT direction, are unfortunately not conclusive. I am really hoping they have a manual behind that center console cover. Or else, I am out again.

If the .2 GT3 is 4.0, manual option and 500 hp then not only will R owners be pissed, i think RS owners will be pissed too bec you get a less expensive car with same performance HP
This would mean the only difference between RS and .2 GT3 is the body and aero
Maybe the 3 will have 4.0 and Manual option but maybe the HP will remain at 475 or below 500 with a slight gain above 475
Why **** off R owners and RS owners? Am i the only one who thinks it will have less than 500 hp? Can the new 3 be 3.9 instead is that a possibility?
