My brother came to town so we took a few cars out for a fun canyon drive. The '16 Spyder and the '16 RS. Really so different, but both fun in the canyons. Neat to see the other car on the road (either) since you never really see them out in the world

Wish I had some canyon runs available around here. Nice pair.

Wow. Nice too see someone NOT ticketed at the snake. Hope you didn't stay there longer then an hour

The Spyder with the GT4 front lip looks really good. If I wasn't barely making it into driveways and ramps as is I'd switch also.

Ha - literally nobody there when we were there. I got a ticket in my 993 for no front plate below the Snake, but luckily the 993 bumper is already pre-drilled (with plugs) so it was easy enough...

Thanks - I agree; I think the Spyder is one of the best-looking cars out there...my brother who had not seen or driven one crowned it as his favorite current car of mine. Of course the RS is fun, but the Spyder is enjoyed at any speed, and is so visceral. Interesting to hear his perspective, as he is also a very energetic driver

You were stopped for no front plate? what's the fine?.. Did they make you put it on right there?.. What if it hadn't been pre-drilled? Guess I've been lucky thus far

Yeah, CHP makes it a fix-it ticket - no separate fine. In West Hollywood or Beverly Hils, you can opt to just pay the ticket (like $25) as we often get them at meters...but with the CHP it is a fix-it only and you have to get it inspected at the CHP station, then go to the courthouse and pay the fee (also like $25) and show proof of correction stamped by CHP. it is pretty nuts.

Thanks - the GT4 lip makes a big difference on stance, etc...really adds to the way the car looks - was fun seeing it driving in my mirrors or when behind the Spyder (since I have not seen many on the road). Really cool cars. Very happy.

Very nice PTS, JCBH!

After getting my lowly Macan Turbo's oil & filter changed a few hours ago... this was also near mine in the delivery area.

PTS Viper Green... wish I had the key to this one instead.

^ Very nice! I prefer the regular lights to the clear taillights but nicely done (by whomever ordered that car).

^^^I agree with the clears, like the reds better. Not saying I would turn this build down for one second. Viper is beautiful.

Default MA Carbon steering wheel insert

Just got the MA Carbon 991 steering wheel insert in carbon, replacing the shiny metal version. This tones it down and is more subtle. Picks up the carbon on the dash etc...and less glare.
Here is a photo, as well as some before/after with a similar angle.
Amazing matching to OEM carbon pattern. Really impressed. Installation (at dealer) was very simple - took about 30 mins or less.
