The grip level on this car is crazy

I've taken my GT3 to the track a few times (COTA and TWS) with the base 4 way sport seats and 3 pt belts. While not as good as LWBs and 6 pts it's still a lot of fun. I do self impose a speed limit. I also use a Simpson Hybrid FIA head/neck restraint with the 3 pt belts. Fair warning the track sport can be addicting. Depending on the track and driver skill the tires won't last long. Then you'll need brake pads and high temp fluid, then...you're down the slippery slope!

Rob,
Yes.
The choice is obviously yours, and you may have a great deal of track experience and know exactly what you want and require. That is not the case for us. We have both taken it on the track - three different tracks so far and skid pad time - with the standard 4-way seats and belts. We have not found ourselves compromised at all, nor sliding around, nor feeling unduly unsafe. We have not found instructors commenting on the seats other than positively, some of them being instructors who own cars with LWBs and dedicated track shells like Sparcos and Recaros. Unless you already know for sure through experience that you need track seats, my advice would be to try at least one track day with the stock setup.
As regards harness and roll bars, there is no doubt they enhance safety and slightly reduce utility so long as they are properly made and installed.
As regards the ease with which one can swap the regular for track seats, it took me about 20 minutes per side the only time I tried. Replacing them took half the time because I knew exactly what was involved. I suggest no more than 30 minutes the pair at a leisurely pace.
Yes.
Because I don't feel comfortable testing limits on public roads, even deserted ones. If so, I have a seat/harness problem. I can't take this car on the track until I address that. The sofas are great for the street, but they aren't acceptable at or even remotely near the limits.
Do I have any reasonable options, other than just replacing the seats?

Rob,
As others have mentioned, the CG lock makes big difference with the 3 point belts.
I was sliding around, but not anymore since I put the lock on for track days.

I took a look at their website, and that thing looks like a great option until I decide to swallow the whole hog. Thanks!
