About to take a major road trip, hope to add another 3-4k miles over the next month and wanted fresh rubber before road trip....

Interesting to note, ride quality is MUCH improved and speedometer is exactly correct when checked with gps.

Full lock right and left, under load in corners, etc..... no rubbing on fender lip or wheel housing liners? Stock wheels and offset? Will be very interested to hear more feedback after you've lived a while with the tires. Enjoy your road trip and safe travels.

 

Yes rubs on inner liner right where my stock tire did at full lock. None on lips.
Dunno if they are n rated rears say mo and extra load fronts say extra load.
Rears rated to max load 2094 lbs and fronts rated to max load of 1709
Rears have kool lip that protects wheel from curbing just like the late Michelin supercup slicks have giving benefit of significant outer sidewall stiffness.
Ordered back inapril and they got here today....
Another benefit is I didn't rub splitter entering my driveway or on entry transitions at a store I always rubbed splitter before.

Dunno if I'll get the chance, taking road trip then selling car to make room for Ed Barney. If so, my guess is I'll grab .5-1 full second a lap over the stock widths.
That's only based on the time I dropped in the cups when I widened the stock footprint similarly on a 6 cup and a early 7 cup. But of course that was slicks...
Since tires showed today and my wife and I road tripped it last year also, figured we'd do it again this year for our anniversary.
Picking her up in Denver, then we go wherever...
Guess if someone buys it who lives in a kool location, we will just deliver it and fly home!
Will give driving impressions regardless, and track input if I get it on track.

 

According to the Tire Rack listings, the 265x35's are available in N spec (because of the RS) but the 325x20's are not. Glen must not have gotten N spec unless he mixed front and rear.

 

Not sure I'm smart enough to know the difference...

If it's wider and you can make it fit, then put it on....

Of course this is from a guy who began racing in a rust bucket 914, ended up with 11's and 13's with slicks running a 2.2 six,

Then the c4s converted to a rscs 993 w awd cheater car, then stock cups that always got wider footprint and bigger motors over time...
I have issues...

 

I don't know that any of us are.

Supposedly the N tires have characteristics optimized for and approved by Porsche but I honestly don't know how much difference there actually is from a non-N spec tire.

 

I'm sure these aren't then, since I'm putting a non recommended width on a stock rim both front and rear.

Cheaper, better grip, I guaranty quicker time( which of course is a bs statement without proof...) and better ride quality....

But most importantly.... It looks kool!

What took you long to try 265/325 s, I been running them on my 991TTS for a year!
You will notice a softer ride, and at the track, well your times will be much faster

 

I went with 265 and 325.... But on 19" wheels.... Over PCCB's.

So far it's been a great set up. Even confirmed by a guy with thousands of laps on his 991 GT3!!

 

Very interesting, seems like the GT4's also take more tire than stock sizes.
