Default I have a doubt.

A friend of mine can get a R but He wonders If the 991 gt3.2 comes with MT or not ? in other words, he doesn't see the interest of buying a more expensive car than the next hypothetical MT gt3

I'd get both if they come at MSRP. The R is limited and can only go up,whether the 991.2 GT3 comes with a manual or not. You can't lose!

If you're friend can get an R in France then just do it.

When (or if) the 991.1 GT3 comes with an MT option, then decide what to do.

No question, tell him to get the R. He can always sell it if in fact the .2 GT3 comes with a MT.

You should talk about this with "Jeap", who would like to have an R...

I'm with ya! I don't think they'd do that. But i was wrong once back in the 90's. I'm likely due for another one soon.

Whether or not the 1.2 GT3 has manual or not (it will) should have no bearing on the R decision. Tell him to buy the R.

Tell him you will take that R allocation off his hands.. I'm not a fan of the R but would buy one and flip it

The R is being produced to take care of their loyal 918 customers. No swan song.

Despite of what most people are saying here on Rennlist, in real life, most people who kill to get the R at MSRP. This should be a no-brainer for your friend. Buy the R, drive it and enjoy it. When the .2 GT3 comes out and if your friend gets tired of driving the R, sell the R, and make lots of money in the process!

This is like asking people what would you do if offered a LaFerrari or Ford GT at MSRP?

The R was made and sold as a halo car. A collector car, a reward to the VIP's etc. Not as a substitute to an inline car that will be made in quantities of 3Kish worldwide. Two different cars and buying demographic. Of course that hasn't stopped you from telling us daily that you don't think it's going to be made

The people on this forum that are getting an R in 99% of the cases have enough jing to get both. Easily and then some...

I agree 100%. Two different demographics. One is a limited edition car and the other is mass produced.

And for the nth time, the .2 GT3 will be produced and it will come with the optional 6 speed manual as found on the R.

I had dinner with Mr. Preuninger in NY during the NY Auto Show (my Datsun was on display at the show) and that is exactly what he said. It always fascinates me to read all these "theories" and "rumors" on RL.
