Did you stay at the Four Seasons in Ottawa, or the Laurier, or elsewhere? Lovely area around which to drive. I am guessing it was too late for the tulips.
We stayed at the Sheraton - it was Tulip Festival weekend so there was lots going on. We went to the bar in the Fairmont. And in the Westin! And a bunch of them in the Byward Market. And a couple of times we went down into the valet parking area and looked at the car!

Sounds a superb getaway. Byward Market! I was trying to think of the name to ask if you had been there. Long ago when I used to go and work at the National Archives I would enjoy wandering around the market and also along the Rideau Canal. I think it is time for a trip back.
I asked about the Four Seasons because my sister and I once stayed there with our parents when my father had a conference in Ottawa and in the morning found ourselves having breakfast at a table next to Midnight Oil, a superb Aussie rock group we both liked. I also remember it had underground parking I could barely negotiate with a 280Z so I think a GT3 would be beached!

Congrats...not a lot of couples make I close to 25 years.

I Loved Midnight Oil. I still listen to Diesel and Dust!
