Default Baby's got a new pair of shoes!

Got a new set of FI-R's. Wheels are awesome! I had another 2015 GT3 with steel brakes and stock wheels. This setup compared to that setup is 65lbs lighter! 40lbs for the brakes and 25lbs for the wheels. I do feel a difference on the street... I really like the look and the function of these wheels. Very nice! Mine are sitting at the shop. Will pick up this week and see if I notice any change in feel/laptimes at the track this weekend

Is all that brake weight saved in the pccb rotor. ... it would seem the calipers weigh the same as red/steel?

Pccb should save about 10 pounds per quarter.

^^^ what he said. CCB rotors are 10lbs lighter each.

Thanks everyone!

The caliper for PCCB is actually larger (as the PCCB rotor is larger diameter as compared to the cast iron option), so the caliper WILL be slightly heavier for PCCB. The rotor far offsets that weight penalty, obviously.

Man I would love nothing more than a set of FI-RS! I just can't afford $10k on a set of wheels. Awesome though!

Since the original RS Wheels on the M6 and the Flachbau, every car I have ever had has had BBS wheels and there is a reason. Through imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, no wheel manufacturer is as good as BBS.

Thanks guys! Pics don't do it justice. My son took it out for a spin (not literally!) today and it looked sooo good rolling down the road. The GT3 (non-RS) is best looking of the 991's imo. The proportions are just right and the FI-R's give it a slightly more aggressive look.
