I think with assumptions we can do many things ... make the world better , save lives ... it's a joke

My sources inform final world wide RS production roughly 1300. Sources are SM at two porsche dealers... regardless supply wasn't enough to meet demand.

Why? Because the 911R is a prototype for the 991.2 GT3 NA 4.0 MT car.

No, we'll get 1,100-1,300 in the US alone. I bet global sales will be closer to 2,200-2,500.

A member is tracking GT4 sales in North America and is already up to ~1,800 units sold and predicts 2,100 by end of production. Anyone know what the ratio is of GT4:RS?

Is all this speculation? Is there any official source of production numbers that we can go to?

Default numbers

It is all speculation while the production is still commencing.
The GT3 RS was never to be a limited build and originally production was to end in March 2016 after 1800 - 2000 units. Production was extended due to the demand and will carry on until end of July with the last cars leaving Exclusive in September/October this year. I would guesstimate that by then number will show in at 2800 - 3000 units.
In comparison all earlier GT cars were limited, this is not the case anymore and therefore its a driver's car and not one for speculators, the follow up model will drive the prices down especially since this time around they forgot the 3rd pedal.

I have a feeling you are going to be right. I'm shocked at how late 2016 deliveries are going, and the tricking of spots that have continued to appear.

I think production will be much closer to the GT3 than expected. But it's just speculation.

Oh well. At least I'll have built one instead of buying one that was customized for someone else.

My count is up to around 780 US cars and 170 CAD cars with around 80 extra or so missing with around 12 months of production (May to May). With 150 PTS cars including black, Miami, and yellow.

I think RS production may be slowed down right now due to all of the PTS and CXX orders but I know some cars have been bumped forward.

Loess: what is your source as to your count? If 780 U.S. what is count for rest of world? Your numbers are not far off from war my sources have said.

PDK only on .1 RS will not hurt it's value. Performance envelope is such PDK is the right box; Rennlist poll indicates near 50/50 split on selecting mt as an option on GT3 .2; overwhelming demand still exceed supply, likely .2 GT3RS if there is one will be 2019 MY and may be tt. Finally its an RS with likely less than 1000 in US at end.

Right on. A 3k-ish number worldwide makes sense. For those who remember, there are lots of parallels between the 997.1 and this 991.1 RS. So far the numbers in various mature markets--US+CAN, GB, HKG (technically a sub-market)--indicate that we're at *double* the .1 numbers across the board.

All in, we're likely at ~1.5x-2.0x the ~1,900 cars we saw in the 997.1. Obviously this car is still in production and only PAG will know the final tally...

My numbers are from build sheets. It looked to me like they are building around 10 RS's a day so they could be running around 200 per month. Around 4 per day are for NA right now but that could change any time. I think if they wanted they could push this number up and they could certainly extend a bit like they did with the GT3 however the RS and R carbon fenders and lexan rear windows add steps on the production line so I think they limit these so as to not slow it down.

No inside sources just observations.
