Exclamation Help with Riviera 991 RS

So I've owned a few Riviera 911's and really regret selling my riviera GT3 the most. A acquaintance has a Riviera 991RS and want 110k over. I'm actually debating it because I haven't found any allocations or better deals and the color is super important to me. I know its an opinion, but what is the max you all would pay over for Riviera? I need to decide pretty quickly before I lose it. I hate paying over MSRP because I actually put miles on my cars. Thank you for the opinions.

I like Lava the best and next UV. Color is subjective. The car looks great in just about any color. If its that important to you and if you have the money buy it. Its that simple.

I wouldn't spend $110K over on a color. If they made Riviera a standard color and Lava was a PTS would you pay $110k over for Lava?. I wouldn't. I'd be happy with Riviera.

Was it a 991 Gt3 you sold? There are just a few in the US. I am in the midst of selling my riviera 991 Gt3 and i sure hope I don't regret it!

It was a 997 GT3 in Riviera. I gave up a grey RS which was amazing for it, but the Riviera just did it for me. The money for the new RS is a deciding factor, but I still don't want to lose me rear in the future if I decide to move on. Not sure how the Riviera RS will hold if I pay that much over.

I think at 110k over you'd be deep in the hole for quite a while. Just a guess though. It seems like it's too much money. But I understand and empathize with the love for riviera!

Live life, unless the extra overage was to feed your family. Almost all the things I enjoy most I thought I paid too much for at the time, but looking back, I'd pay even more given the pleasure they've provided.

There are few markers for what PTS RS's will go for. If regular cars are +50, +100 doesn't sound crazy. I sure as hell wouldn't sell my upcoming PTS car for that. Would you rather have 50k or a Riviera in the garage?

These questions only make sense on RL, F-chat...others rarely get it. Mostly enablers here. How many PTS RS will there be in NA, 80?

Is there a car you would rather own/drive for $300k? For me the answer was no, so I didn't sell my RS when I was offered a similar premium. Maybe driving the car will cost me $100k in a different way, but most alternative cars to me (F12/488) will depreciate that much anyway, maybe some won't that are more money (675LT). Then you get the true unobtainable cars (Ford GT, F12 TdF). If it's the car you want, go for it...

I was offered a 100 over for my voodoo and politely declined. Is it worth it to you?

Do I think the Pts will hold value strong? Yes. Would I spend it? Maybe. Riviera is not my favorite, but for an acid green or signal? Probably.

If you have the cash flow and don't mind taking a hit, go for it. Right now unless you got into the game early you aren't getting any RS for msrp. If a lava brings 50k over then you really only paying 60k over that. Pts will hold its value better then the 4 standard colors.

You'd have to earn approx $180-185,000 to be able to have the cash just for the mark up - that's a LOT of cash. Even though I buy with the heart and not the head sometimes I couldn't justify that amount. Only if you are that rich that you wouldn't notice it could that seem acceptable - but that's just mho as you asked for it. Good luck with the decision.

If you can afford it - do it and enjoy it. You said that you've owned a few 911's and some in PTS, so I assume you have a history with one of the dealers? Why not trying to get a new .2 GT3/RS, building it as you want and for the time of the wait getting a non PTS GT3/RS that doesn't have such a strong mark up and would have higher probability of getting your money back in the near future.
I personally do not believe in the 100k markups for the RS in the future, even if its PTS and especially if you put high miles on it. Just my 2 cents.

Here are some data points for you...

Most Lava/White/Silver RSs trade at $35k-$50k over
UV RSs trade at $50k-$60k over
A few PTS cars were able at $75k-$80k over

I think $110k over is too high given the amounts above.
