Nay eyes are fine..It's the way the cars are. Parked, the camera angle and the cute clean look of the 997 that messes one up.

I don't know. My white 40 is parked next to a guy's white 991rs at a car storage facility. Even my wife said "wow, the new one looks way bigger than the 4.0". I think the 997 just has less going on; body more tailored/classic lines. It LOOKS a lot more compact. I'm not a 991rs hater; I have a late allocation and excited to get it. But, it looks WAY bigger than the 997s.

For that matter, the 997.1rs looks smaller than the 997.2rs and has to be almost all optical illusion. They have to be nearly exact same size. Again, each gen has more **** going on visually; more lines, ducts, bigger wings, wheels, etc.

This is the most dramatic comparison I've seen, how much larger the 911 has gotten over the years.

Awesome. Had a leaking seal in the cylinder, they FedExed a new one overnight from CA.

The 991 RS next to a 991 gt3 looks big. The 911 rs vs the 997 rs looks even bigger. Like Trakar said, it is the angle, but I will tell you the car looks very small next to the 991 rs... regardless of the numbers.

What is the exact model of the BendPak lift? I looked at their Website, and they have a lot of options. Also, how is it anchored to the floor, and did you have a professional install it for you?

Thanks.

It's a Bendpak HD-9. Attached to the floor using supplied Redheads.

I installed it myself - takes around 5-6 hours.

Thank you. I was all excited until I got home, and measured the height. At 8 feet, I am out of luck.

You have a stunning garage that is very tastefully done.

Thank you, I appreciate that.

I was at 100". I don't even want to tell you what it cost per inch to get to 116". Crazy.

I parked next to a VW bug the same PTS as my '88 Carrera in a parking lot. I took the same pic as you see above. I'll have to dig it up and throw up a pic of the 1.1GT3 next to the '88. It's an interesting evolution.

The modern cars are not much more than a nod to the past.
