Default viper green 991 gt3 sell or trade?

Hi guys
A dealer wants my car. They offered to trade towards future gt3 manual
or pay me outright.

What is a good value in US dollars?

Should I sell on the open market and risk no allocation?

If I sell on the open market, what is sell value in USD?

Thanks for your advice

Your PTS GT3 will be worth more than any future GT3. But beyond that, I'd keep it if it hasn't let you down in any way.

Hi Mike,

It would be a tough decision for me to part with my PTS GT3. Having said that, It would come down to which is more important to you; a PTS or manual GT3 and go from there. Other thing to consider would be how long would you have to wait to get the next GT3 and will there definitely be a manual option. I personally would want to see something official stating that there will be a manual and not just speculation of said manual, but that's just me.

As far as value of a PTS GT3, I have no clue but would be interested in what others think it might be...

Let me know what you decide to do.

Tell them to screw off.

Put your name on a list WITHOUT trading your car in like 99.9% of the other guys. Decide at that point. I would NEVER trust a dealer anyway. Somehow making you a promise on something you might get the shaft on anyway. Manual hasn't even been confirmed yet!

Tell the dealer $30K OVER MSRP and it's theirs. Same as they'd do. I'm sure they made you a more "reasonable" offer.

gorgeous car. There's a PTS green for sale at Bluegrass for $180
https://porschelouisville.com/invent...5+Green+548700

yours is nicer.

Agreed on the future allocation being iffy. What happens if they say they can't get you one? If you do trade it in, make sure there's considerable additional compensation if you don't get the future GT3.

After all the tails of people trading in early for an RS and getting screwed, I would agree with the masses. Ask to get on list and once the car is sitting on the ground in front of you, then arrange the trade if the new rig suits your fancy.

You know the dealer just wants to double or triple their profit off a single car..

Tell them to get you a PTS .2 manual on order with a written contract when the window opens. When it arrives in 24 months then trade.

You should not have to trade your car to be put on the list.

If you want to sell your car to a US buyer you will be probably making the sale at a high point of $CDN and benefit when the rates normalize a little. HOWEVER- you 100% will not replace your PTS car (which looks awesome)

As most have said, don't do it, atleast not yet. I would wait until confirmation of you getting what you want, PTS and MT. Just put your name on the waiting list at a dealer. I put my name on the waiting list at my dealer without any down payment.
