Note: watch the two videos in the end me in the GT3 doing a donut as my first attempt after buying the car and the second of a 599 owner doing a donut
I am apart of this car group here in my city called ***Out Run*** yes it is taken from the video game (for those of you who know it)
Anyway, the group has a bunch of sport and super cars. They meet up from time to time and i join in when i can. This is the first time i join them for a "run" after purchasing my GT3. Sometimes we are 4 cars, sometimes 10 and sometimes a number in between. This time we were 1 997 C2S, 1 991 C2S, 1 991 GT3 (me) and 1 Ferrari 599
I will use this thread to share pics and videos from whenever i join in on the fun. We left around 9:30 AM and came back at about 1 PM. We take different routes usually a lot of sharp turns but this time it was mostly long straights. At some point i was able to hit 200 MPH (199.4 to be exact as it was 321 KPH) but let us just say 200 MPH to celebrate joining the 200 mile club for the first time, hence the video of me doing a donut (not bad for my first attempt after purchasing the car) [the pic of my exhaust tips in blue probably shows how much i pushed the car yesterday as well]
Nice pics, and nice GTS.... Did you guys do any rolling starts??
I did the rolling starts against 599, Gallardo and 997 Turbo. GT3 was always the winner except for 2 times out of the 8 against the 599 it lost. Winning 6 out of the 8 though is basically saying it is faster. He would catch up at the end when we are about 220-260 but it would get shut down as the straight would come to an end each time. I forgot to mention the 599 is modified with a Tubi (not sure of spelling) sports exhuast.
I did not try with the GTS but the owner of the GTS did drive my car and admits it is a complete different animal.
I'll share this post with Tibo and see if he has anything to add....
Love the sound. So recognizable too. Sweet that you can do runs like that w/o traffic, i.e. risks.
Do you guys ever track your toys?
I have never driven on a track in my life except for go karting, which was this weekend looool
I only got my car early Feb 2016. I would like to go on a track now that I think I know the car well enough but it is way too hot now here. Many guys in the group have tracked their cars but all of them agree that now it is too hot to do any tracking.
We actually go out on the weekend at like 6 AM to avoid traffic and to have not as hot temperatures. We drive like 300 - 500 km round trip and go to places very far from the city so that our cars are usually the only ones around.

No cats and no tune as of yet but maybe will do that soon
I felt HP gain from stock to Akrapovic and felt gains from Akrapovic to the current system. In that video I shared, it was the first time I do lunch control since I put on these DMS headers and it was the first time my neck jerks back as strong as it did.
Actually the first time I went WOT in the car, I noticed the difference and was grinning from cheek to cheek and called my friend in the 991 GTS following me so he can hear the excitement in my voice.
