Just curious...
If I go to someone's Youtube channel, and I see how many subscribers a person has, what does that net someone? And if I see that a certain video that has 10 views or 10 million views, what does that net them.
In other words: what does Youtube pay someone for their 'content' whether it be a beginner or a movie studio with a major movie trailer?

Spending big $$ on producing a single film doesn't make sense if you rely solely on clicks to recoup the cost. That's why Drive+ costs money, why Chris Harris took donations, and why there are sponsors .

I'm entertained by his videos.
He is taking the Top Gear don't take yourself too seriously approach rather than a Motor Week let's be auto journalists style. But, he comes across as an arrogant little kid. No one likes a rich show off and that's his biggest problem and, likely the reason most people are put off by him. He reminds me of my worst qualities, most of which I hope I've outgrown. Those harsh words said, he's one of us. A car enthusiast. Someone I'd shake hands with and have coffee with and go on a canyon run or road trip. He loves cars, likely reads this forum and, for those reasons, I'll keep watching and be entertained by his videos.
