So I actually watched it. They tried too hard and too many F bombs for me.

This guy and Shmee should get together. They're 2 of the most annoying guys on the Tube!

Spending a ton of money actually makes it more sad because after all that, the video is still worse than something Matt Farah makes in 5 minutes with a go pro.

Matt doesn't spend huge bucks on every video because there's no money in it. But I'd still rather hear what he has to say about any car over these other youtubers.

Haha. I think they did do a video together and for damn sure I unsubscribed. Can't take describing absolutely everything as awesome or fantastic.

Let's be fair for a minute here.

I've met Salomondrin in person, and while he appears to be a nice person, he comes off in the flesh just as he does on digital pixels. A little over-the-top.

That said, while I'm not a fan of his work, he isn't asking any of us to watch his videos or subscribe to his channel.

Don't like? Don't watch.

And if one isn't going to watch, why critique?

After all, how many of us are putting ourselves out there doing Youtube car video reviews?

Default Too much 'Bro'

I wanted to watch this as I thought it was an interesting comparison. But it fell short everywhere. I didn't like the guys that acted that way when I was 20 and it isn't interesting 30 years later either.

Matts a good dude. I actually like his one-takes. They're to the point, first impressions and usually pretty spot on assessments. I think he's better with those than when he was trying to do more scripted type work with Tuned. That came off unnatural.

i've followed him on IG...i'd say more money than brains

he had a 918 (black), 991rs, gt4, CGT and Huayra...sold all of them for another 918 but in acid green. i think it was somewhere around 3M

he's also got a 4.0rs, which he said he'd sell for a 991R...SMH

just a poseur

I'm entertained by his videos.

He is taking the Top Gear don't take yourself too seriously approach rather than a Motor Week let's be auto journalists style. But, he comes across as an arrogant little kid. No one likes a rich show off and that's his biggest problem and, likely the reason most people are put off by him. He reminds me of my worst qualities, most of which I hope I've outgrown. Those harsh words said, he's one of us. A car enthusiast. Someone I'd shake hands with and have coffee with and go on a canyon run or road trip. He loves cars, likely reads this forum and, for those reasons, I'll keep watching and be entertained by his videos.
