When the 991RS is $25k under I will buy another 997RS. If I want a panamera I'll buy a panamera

History repeats itself.
RS levels off while produced. Shoots up when none in production and goes up from there.
So level off rest this year, drop when 991.2 GT2/3? RS arrives and market bubble collapses and shoots up when turbo 992 arrives and market recovers.

Sounds about right. 992s will be turbos or some kind of kers/hybrid.

I know why these limited production cars are selling for over MSRP... It's less about manual vs. PDK, etc... It's because dealers are now able to LEASE these cars. I was at a McLaren dealer the other day; was looking at a 675LT and some 570S'.. the guy was like: "you better let me know soon; as we have two credit apps in on the LT". And I was somewhat shocked; I assumed people just paid cash or maybe financed them with low-cost asset-backed loans from their brokers. It turns out they are all leases; so one can drive off the lot with an LT for $6k per month and save sales taxes. The only upfront cost is the markup; which is the blood money to be selected by dealer to lease it. Since more people can pay a monthly payment vs. all cash; there is a larger pool of buyers vs. in the past when you had to buy these cars outright to drive away.

^ Nice theory, but I just don't think there are many people with that kind of disposable income. That's easily 2X more than the average mortgage in your neck of the woods. Sure there are some with higher, but would argue that is all they can afford, not looking for another 6K payment. But hey, I'm probably not in their demographic anyways, so what do I know.

I drove my 997 RS this weekend and thought there's no way anyone would put a transmission like that in a production car again, it's a beautiful PITA.

Turned down an RS for 40k over this past weekend. Looking to pay sticker and nothing more. Hope it will happen.

More 911 GT cars will be coming, so 991.1 RS price can't stay inflated unless it's truly the last of something special. Besides NA, I don't know what that something special could be, and I expect that the 991.2 GT cars will be better in some ways than the 991.1. So I predict that RS price will drop to around MSRP or below at some point.

I prefer "Ikura"
Yup. For those with short memories just go look at pricing logged on rsregistry for the 997 cars.
