991 RS exhaust
Hi guys,
What exhaust system would you recommend on my upcoming 991 RS?
I have a Sharkwerks bypass on my 991GT3. Quite happy with it, but what do you think I should get? Or leave it stock?
Best,
H

IMO...they will all sound 'good'. Some will make power, some won't.
I prefer to work with a local vendor whenever possible so I went with Fabspeed and have been VERY happy with the experience, quality, sound, power, and most importantly their customer service.
The good news is no matter what exhaust you get, it will be on an RS!!

How about a Dundon Motorsports Exhaust? This is the no cats version, will have the catted version mocked up this week and likely tested on a 991 GT3 by early next. I see you're in Europe, so not sure if a no cats exhaust would work for you or not.
Dyno below is stock vs DMS Race headers. 25whp max gains and 20whp peak gains There are a few threads on here describing the exhaust.
991 GT3RS Stock vs Dundon Race Headers, flapped side connectors and OEM Rear Muffler

Since you know more about exhausts than I do. Is there any others that you would recommend for street use?
Thanks,
Best,

I got a Sharkwerks on my 991GT3, just a bypass. Quite happy with the sound. Maybe go for that one again. Maybe Akrapovic.
Will check if Fabspeed is available here! Thanks.

We have a 200 CPSI catted version we're working on right now, so if you can wait a few weeks we'll have something for your use in Europe! Will even pick up good power, not sure how much yet but should be close to our non-catted system.

i would leave it alone. it's very efficient.
if you want more sounds, punch a hole in the muffler, voila.

I, too, have RSS Xpipes. Had them on my 997.2 GT3 and the sound was incredible. But, then again, nothing beats the sound of the Mezger engine. While it makes the 991 3 sound better, it will still not match an RSS on a 997.
