Thank everyone for the kind words. It looks like I will not make it to Florida for several weeks! AARGH!
Eduardo, I believe the interior shot of the green car is of the birch green 997.2 RS sold by Porsche of San Diego. You are correct about the exteriors - my car at Amelia several years ago.

Here is the source of my confusion...
Interesting observation. Here is where I got the idea that the
interior shot I posted was of your car. As you may recall, in
the summer of 2012, Sasha Glaeser (then manager of 'Porsche
Exclusive' at PCNA) asked a few customers to provide him
photos of highly optioned custom ordered vehicles for an
article being done about 'Porsche Exclusive' by the digital
magazine - 'Life + Times':
***
In the article, my 'Aqua Blue/Red' '12 Spyder was exhibit # 2:
http://lifeandtimes.com/the-top-cars...rsche-custom/2
***
And a 'Chartreuse' 997 gt3 RS 4.0 LE was exhibit #4, with a shot
of the exterior of the car in front of an elegant estate & driveway.
Soon after the article went online, the 'Chartreuse' 4.0's exterior shot
was deleted & replaced with this photo, which is still on the website:
http://lifeandtimes.com/the-top-cars...rsche-custom/4
As you can see, it identifies the car as 'Chartreuse' gt3 RS 4.0. Since
yours was the only 'Chartreuse' gt3 RS 4.0 Limited Edition I knew of,
I incorrectly assumed that it was your car. Sorry!
***
As an aside, you can tell from the red marker on the steering wheel that
the gt3 RS in that photo is a 4.0 LE. Here are shots I have on file of the
'Birch Green' .2 997 gt3 RS 3.8 from Porsche of San Diego. As you can
see, the steering wheel on that one had the standard yellow marker at
12 O'clock on the 3.8's steering wheel.
***
So Steven, where do you think this other 'Chartreuse' .2 997 gt3 RS 4.0 LE
resides?

Eduardo

HOOOOOOOLLLLLLYYYYYY...........,!!!
Just gorgeous colors. I am just blown away and almost wouldn't want to be burdened with having to choose a PTS color! (Ok, well maybe not). But to have to choose between all the spectacular colors would be quite 'hair pulling' process.
Either way... BIG CONGRATS to you, Steven. Enjoy it in good health.

Here is why I believe this is so.
The interior shot in question shows a red steering wheel marker (as you pointed out), but it also shows black seat belts. In contrast, the San Diego car has yellow seat belts and marker. Photos below from this post:
Above, we see the San Diego 253 RS does not have painted PCM in exterior colour, but is black. There is only a small bit of painted green below the stick.
Now here is another photo showing a Chartreuse 997 4.0 from Danbury which shows the PCM is painted in green (like the mystery interior photo).
I am inclined to believe this is Steven_H's car because he (also?) bought his Maritime RS from Danbury:
Steven, was your Chartreuse car the one shown at Danbury? (And I'm assuming you'd know if Danbury ordered more than one 997 4.0 in that colour.) If that is where yours came from, then it appears to me that you have the painted PCM in exterior colour, and so the mystery interior photo is very likely yours (or else identical to it). Just I thought I'd post my observations, that's all. I hope this doesn't come across as mean-spirited. And I'm more than happy to be proven wrong.
FWIW, there might be other fantastic green 4.0s out there. Any info on this one in Europe?

I was likely wrong about the birch green interior - just speculating. The birch green car and my chartreuse car are different colors. When I was ordering my car, it was the morning of the last day to specify the PTS color that chartreuse was finally approved - Melissa called me just before noon. Birch green had been available for some time and I had seen the car in San Diego, but I was obsessed with the 73RS chartreuse. I believe it is the only 4.0 painted that color. The factory did, soon thereafter, paint a cab that color. Which was sold in Germany.
I heard from friends in San Diego that the birch green car was sold to someone in San Diego, but I could be wrong.
Thank you, Ochocoronas for the photo!

Steven:
Yes, Daniel & I have established that the interior of the 'Lichtgrün'/
'Birch Green' .2 997 gt3 RS 3.8 in San Diego is not the one that I
included in post #51 (see directly below):

But you now have left me confused. Is this interior shot (directly below),
as it appears in the 8.06.2012 article of 'Life + Times' that I have listed,
in fact an actual photograph of the 'Chartreuse' .2 997 gt3 RS 4.0 that
you own? A simply 'yes' or 'no' will suffice. Thanks.
