Default Any issues buying a Canadian spec GT3 converted to U.S. specs

Guys: Is there any concern buying a new Canadian spec GT3 that is converted to U.S. spec? The car is in Missouri.

Thoughts?

Right most of the work has been done already if the car is state side. Just do your due diligence as for any other cars. If everything checks OK I don't see any reasons for not buying it. Unless the price is not right!

The only thing you'll notice is the KPH vs. MPH as the primary on the gauges. Mexico blue is wicked.

I believe that that Mexico blue car was owned by 2016RS on this site and was originally sold from Porsche Calgary if your looking for some history.

You may have an uncontrollable urge to wear toques and put maple syrup on everything after driving it for a while.

Make SURE it is signed off and documented with DOT and EPA. If not, you are looking at a long, expensive and cumbersome process. Also resale will be very tough. Allan

Why would resale be "very tough"? Canadian car needs no spec changes. No bumpers, speddo changes, warranty issues etc?

+1
Same cars, coming from the same factory and driven by good/polite people... Most of them are stored 4 months / year in winter time (less mileage)

With the current exchange rate, if I was US guy shopping for a used GT3, I would be shopping in Canada. Important pricing delta, even with the importing process...

No. Balance of PCNA Factory Warranty is included.

OP: call PCNA and they will walk you through everything. Good luck!

As stated, Porsche warranty follows the cars over the borders. Full coverage and for same time period...4 years.

Canadian cars are all North American spec. Meaning they all conform to US DOT and EPA.
