He is, the position of the gear lever is in manual, and you must shift in that position. It's very difficult to notice a person using the paddles from watching a vid, be he is shifting.

looks like he only uses 2nd and 3rd but he defintely uses the paddles, you can see his fingers/knuckles flick

Having met Marino years ago when Dario was in CART, my guess would be "you paid HOW much?!"
